Fun snacks to make with kids!

There are still quite a few long summer afternoons left and most of us are running out of ideas on how to entertain our little ones. It would be a lot of fun to dress up your kids as chefs with a kiddie apron and a pair of gloves, turn up the music and let the party begin!
It’s important to get your children involved in the kitchen. When they participate in the cooking process, it is more likely that they will expand their horizon and explore new foods. Plus, this especially helps with picky eating!
Below you will find two fun and delicious snack activities that you can make along with your children. Take out the ingredients and have a great time!
Frozen Banana Pops
Ingredients:
Banana
Vanilla Greek yogurt
Lollipop sticks
Assorted toppings like:
Honey glazed slivered almonds
Honey glazed pecans
Dried cranberries
Freeze dried raspberries
Freeze dried strawberries
Unsweetened coconut flakes
Directions:
Peel the banana. Hack- I like to peel it from the bottom side up so the white strings come off
Cut the banana in half and stick in a lollipop stick.
Dip the banana into the yogurt - should cover about half the banana
Have fun and top it! There are so many options! I used delicious honey glazed slivered almonds, honey glazed pecans, dried cranberries, freeze dried raspberries, strawberries, and unsweetened coconut.
Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper, place the bananas on the parchment paper and freeze for a couple hours.
Eat immediately or store in the freezer.
