Are you as big a fan of sushi as we are?!
Sushi has become one of the most popular foods. Everywhere you turn there are sushi stands, sushi restaurants and even pop up sushi bars in grocery stores!
Sushi is not just popular because of how delicious it is, but because of how much fun it can be! Plus, did you know you can make sushi at home?
Creating a sushi bar is a fun activity for both you and your kids, and it allows you to creatively incorporate some of your favorite foods.
Using the proper components, you can ensure that your sushi encompasses all of the essential foods you need to make a completely balanced meal like carbs, protein, fat, fiber and fun foods! For example, the rice serves as a carb, salmon as the protein, avocado as the fat, veggies such as cucumbers as the fiber and panko crumbles add some fun!
Making sushi with your little ones is a great way to get your kids involved in the kitchen and help reduce picky eating since your kids are touching the food, part of the meal prep and have some control as to how they can make their meal delicious!
So, get creative, try new flavor combos and most importantly have fun in the kitchen as you create your own sushi!
